Governor Kelly Announces
Administration Appointments

TOPEKA –Today, Governor Kelly announced two appointments and one reappointment to the following state boards and commissions.

Kansas Board of Nursing
Purpose: This board is charged with protecting the public’s health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Kansas through the licensure and regulation process of the nursing professions.

• Dr. Ruth Burkhart, Edgerton

Kansas Board of Veterinary Examiners
Purpose: The mission of the State Board of Veterinary Examiners is to inspect and register licensed veterinarians.

• Amy Ekerberg, Newton (reappointment)

Autonomous Vehicle Advisory Committee
Purpose: Compile a report with recommendations regarding the use of autonomous vehicles.
